Payment & Refund Policy

Guidelines and policies governing online donations, payment security, and refund requests.

Last Updated: September 2026

Grameen Foundation for Social Impact (GFSI) is dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of financial transparency and security. This Payment & Refund Policy outlines the terms governing online financial contributions, transaction security protocols, and refund mechanisms.

1. Payment Security & Gateway

All online payments made on our website are facilitated through industry-certified, PCI-DSS Level 1 compliant payment gateways (including Razorpay). Transactions are protected using 128-bit/256-bit Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption.

GFSI never collects, handles, or stores sensitive financial credentials such as card numbers, CVV codes, or net banking passwords on our local databases. All payment processing occurs securely on the gateway's fortified servers.

2. Accepted Payment Methods

We accept online donations through multiple convenient and secure modes:

  • Unified Payments Interface (UPI) via Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, BHIM, and other UPI applications.
  • Debit Cards and Credit Cards (Visa, MasterCard, RuPay, Maestro, American Express).
  • Internet Banking across major public and private sector banks in India.
  • Prepaid digital wallets where supported.

3. Donation Receipts & 80G Certificates

  • Upon successful completion of a transaction, an official donation receipt will be electronically generated and dispatched to the donor's registered email address.
  • Donations made by Indian citizens are eligible for tax deduction under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act, 1961. Donors seeking tax exemption benefits must provide their Permanent Account Number (PAN) during payment.
  • In case you do not receive a receipt within 24 hours of transaction completion, please contact our support team with transaction details.

4. Cancellation & Refund Policy

As a non-profit organization, contributions received are channeled into ongoing social development programs, humanitarian initiatives, and community projects. Consequently, donations once made are generally non-refundable.

However, GFSI considers refund requests under exceptional circumstances, such as duplicate deductions or erroneous amounts reported via formal email request within 7 days of transaction date.

Refund Procedure:

Email: info@grameenfoundation.in with Transaction ID, Amount, Date, and Contact details.

Verified refunds will be initiated back to the original source method within 7–10 working days.

5. Currency & Compliance

All donations accepted through our website are processed in Indian National Rupees (INR) and comply with all applicable statutory and regulatory guidelines under Indian law.
